[DECISION]ONE_PAGERMany portfolios have a separate projects page — that's an extra click, extra cognitive cost. I chose a single continuous view: Hero → Timeline → About → Footer. Whoever lands on the site sees everything immediately.

[DECISION]MDX_FOLDER_BASEDJSON enforces a uniform schema with no way to add per-project code. A CMS adds an external dependency. MDX combines structure with code — each project can have its own visual components, and the system is fully local.

[DECISION]THREE_ANIMATION_TOOLSFramer Motion for micro-interactions, GSAP for scroll-triggered sequences, Three.js for 3D. Each tool has a different cost and scope — right tool for the job instead of one tool for everything.

A desktop app that runs a structured interview and builds a tailored CV — no forms, no cloud, no personal data leaking to external APIs.

[DECISION]LOCAL_DATASensitive user profile — work history, achievements — stays in local SQLite. No external database. Tauri instead of a web app, because the architecture should physically prevent data leaks.

[DECISION]AI_WITHOUT_PIIName, email, photo never reach AI models — not because the system 'tries not to send them', but because there's no code path that allows it. The frontend merges personal data with generated content on the user's side.

[DECISION]INTERVIEW_NOT_FORMAI runs a conversation instead of presenting fields. The best CV material comes out of dialogue — 'project management' in a form becomes a concrete story about a delayed project and a team that delivered in two weeks.

A merch shop for a fictional podcast, built in PrestaShop from scratch — with a real sandbox payment integration, to learn the architecture of real e-commerce instead of loose exercises.

[DECISION]TPAY_OVER_STRIPEStripe needed integration from scratch (the official PrestaShop module has been dead since 2023), PayPal worked natively but fit a Polish-language shop less. Tpay offered an actively maintained module with explicit PS9 support and a fully self-service sandbox.

[DECISION]NATIVE_CHECKOUTA ready hi-fi checkout mockup flattened the layout into one continuous view, but PrestaShop's native accordion runs on AJAX tied to specific hooks and data-* attributes. Kept the accordion, restyled with plain CSS — the only override is a sandbox warning bar.

[DECISION]CSS_ONLY_OVERRIDERestyling through a child theme and Smarty overrides, zero changes to PrestaShop core — so the admin panel stays fully manageable instead of turning into a hardcoded mockup.

About me

I graduated with a degree in digital economy in Katowice — somewhere between IT, business and project management. In my spare time I build tools that solve real problems — mine or someone I know. A fair description of my approach: "the fact that I need to learn something new along the way doesn't stop me — even if that something is Rust".
